Scientell Wrapped 2025

It’s that time of year again. Where the neighbourhood Christmas lights go up, the air smells of backyard BBQs, and that one Mariah Carey song plays on repeat at the supermarket.
It’s also the time of year when we release Scientell Wrapped: our annual peek behind the curtain to celebrate what’s kept us busy this year, including the clients we’ve worked with, the projects we’ve worked on, and the memories we’ve worked out in 2025.
And what a year it’s been. In 2025, we…
…worked on more than 40 projects, spanning health, climate change, energy and agriculture, urban planning, geoscience, supercomputing and environmental science. We welcomed new clients and continued collaborations with past ones. We brought science to life through case studies, infographics, brochures, factsheets, webpages, posters and more.
…supported over 700 workshop participants through our science communication training and workshop facilitation, helping people across government, research and industry increase the impact of their work and engage in meaningful discussion.
…collectively represented Scientell at 11 conferences and forums, keeping up to date with the latest science and science communication theory, and connecting with colleagues, old and new.
…welcomed 9 interns, including science, business and marketing students from Monash University and the University of Melbourne, who brought along enthusiasm, curiosity and fresh perspectives to our team.
…celebrated Sonia stepping into the role of co-director, which recognised her outstanding leadership and commitment to the company, and the important part she has played in Scientell’s growth and success over the years.
…established the Scientell Advisory Board, which brings together communication, business and science experts with decades of experience to provide invaluable insights to guide our company’s direction.
And of course, Scientell celebrated its 10th birthday! We’ve completed a decade of helping scientists, policymakers and industry leaders communicate clearly. We are grateful to every client, collaborator and colleague who has been part of the journey, especially Scientell’s late co-founder, Paul Holper, who would have been proud to see this milestone.
Finally, it would not be a Scientell year without a few puns. Across our newsletters, dozens of puns slipped through quality control and into the world. We’d like to think 10% made you laugh, but no pun in-ten-did.
Thank you to everyone who worked with us, learned with us, or supported us in 2025.
Here’s to another year of impactful, evidence-based and enjoyable science communication. We look forward to staying in touch in 2026.
