Description
Scientell worked closely with the ESA Media Working Group, the ESA Board and other office holders to develop and implement a detailed communication plan that aims to help meet the ESA’s outreach objectives. The aim is to increase ESA exposure in the media (including but not limited to traditional and social media), positioning ESA as thought-leaders and a prime source of information and public comment on ecology-related comments, and using rigorous peer-reviewed science to influence the Australian policy agenda.
Scientell provides policy advice, prepares and issues media releases, initiates and runs communication-related meetings and plans and initiates communication for the annual ESA conference, which typically attracts over 500 participants. Scientell also managed the production and sponsorship of the ESA 2018 calendar to raise awareness of ecology and ecologists.
